Know what the result means.
Route kilometres × litres per 100 km ÷ 100 × fuel price × vehicles. Add rental per vehicle per day, group tolls and parking, then contingency. Enter the complete return distance once.
A practical example
For example, 300 km at 8 litres per 100 km uses 24 litres per car. At an illustrative KSh 180 per litre, fuel is KSh 4,320 per car. This is arithmetic, not a current pump-price claim.
How we handle sources and uncertainty →Questions about this tool
Where do I get the route distance?
Check your actual route in a map service, including return travel and planned detours. Do not use the straight-line distance from a destination finder.
Does this include a rental car?
Only if you enter the per-vehicle daily rental cost. Check deposits, insurance, mileage limits, driver charges and exclusions with the rental company.
Is the fuel price current?
You provide the fuel price. The calculator does not fetch or claim a current pump price.
