What is the Shetani lava flow?
A huge field of black volcanic lava (~50 sq km) near the Chyulu Hills in Tsavo West, formed only a few centuries ago — 'Shetani' means 'devil' in Kiswahili. You can explore caves there (bring a torch and sturdy shoes). Inside Tsavo West (park entry applies).
