What is Lake Magadi?
A vivid pink-and-white soda lake in the hot Rift floor ~100 km SW of Nairobi (2-3 hr drive) — salt formations, flamingos and other birds, and natural hot springs. Minimal/no entry fee (community/company land). It gets extremely hot — go early and carry water and fuel.
